We have some commitments from speakers; VADM USN (Vice Admiral Ret.) Lyle Bien will be our keynote speaker. There will be some Women in Aviation – Great Planes Chapter speakers, as well as some others that we are still working on. There will be aircraft on static display on the GA Ramp: Navy T-6, P-51, and numerous other aircraft on display. Sioux Falls EAA Chapter 289 will be giving youth 8-17 free Young Eagle rides. Greg Klein from LATI (Aviation Maintenance Technology Program) will be bringing one of their motor gliders. The Aberdeen Area Modelaires RC Club will have a display in one of the hangars on the ramp. Commemorative Air Force Tour

Aircraft attending: B-29 Superfortress FIFI; C-45 “Bucket of Bolts;” T-6 WASP Original; Stearman; P-51 “Gunfighter.” The aircraft will arrive Monday (Aug 5) around noon. The ramp will open to the public Wednesday (Aug 7) through Sunday (Aug 11) from 9:00am to 5:00pm each day. The small aircraft will be available for walk-up rides the entire time they are open. FIFI will only fly Saturday (Aug 10) and Sunday (Aug11) mornings. The balance of the time FIFI will be static for cockpit tours. The tour aircraft would depart on Monday (Aug 12). Access to the gate will be $15 for adults and $8 for ages 5 to 17. This price will include free admission to the Mid America Museum of Aviation and Transportation (2600 Expedition Court). Their web site reports, Ryan provides FREE limousine rides to and from the restaurant. The limousine can comfortably hold ten adults, so bring some friends and family!
